EP Cam can be used in place of ManyCam to capture the upper left corner of EasyPal. The captured image is used as an overlay on WebCam7 and used as a virtual web cam.
EP Cam can overlay a thumbnail of the last image received, a UTC clock, scrolling text, and the red & green progress bar at the lower left of EasyPal. If you have an on-screen s-meter, that can be overlayed also. EP Cam docks with EasyPal, so if EasyPal is moved, EP Cam will not need to be re-adjusted.
Instructions to set up WebCam7 to work with EP Cam
Setup WebCam7 to use with EP Cam. 1: With EP Cam running, click on video camera icon in top right corner of WebCam7.
2: Click on 'Local image' button. 3: Click in the window area above buttons. This brings up a 'Browse for file' window. Find the EP Cam folder and click on Cam_1.bmp then click 'Open'.
Part of EasyPal should appear. 4: Double click on the EasyPal area of the window.
Be sure the File tab is selected. 5: Fill in the boxes as shown. Then click 'Ok'.
6: Click 'Save as' 7: Type 'EPCam' in the box, then click the 'Ok' button to the right of the box. Then click 'Ok' at the bottom of the window. To use WebCam7 with another program such as ManyCam, open this window and click on 'Clear' to remove the EP Cam overlay. To use EP Cam again open this window and click the arrow on the text box at the top and click on EPCam. This will put the EP Cam overlay back again.
